So, let me see if I have this straight.
Google did the following:
Does that about sum it up or am I missing something here?
This is a good article describing how Microsoft is bringing its pieces together. In the last 3 to 5 years they have been laying the groundwork to bring an end to end computing experience to fruition. They are almost there. By the end of the year Windows Live Wave 4 and Windows Phone 7 will join XBox and Windows 7 to create this end to end experience. Should be interesting to see if they can pull it off and get enough people to buy into it.
I like what NPR is doing these days, showing they can have some fun.
Too funny, someone had way too much time and money on their hands.
Jon Stewart has a big point under all the histrionics. This could turn into a big PR nightmare for Apple, or perhaps it already has.
Okay, this made me laugh. Gizmodo is teh funny. And the article is actually a pretty good summary of what the aquisition means for HP, Palm, and their customers.
Bella spent her Spring Break in Santa Cruz with her Aunt Ellenor and Uncle David. She flew up (by herself) on Saturday and returned on Thursday. She spent Easter Sunday with her MorMor and Papa and with her cousin Katie Mei. They rode an Easter train (you could tell because it had bunny ears) up into the mountains.
Okay a couple of things about this:
1. Palm may not be actively for sale but with the position they are in they are probably getting offers or if not then the board and management have a fiduciary duty to explore this and see if there is a buyer who is willing to pay enough.
2. HTC's interest in Palm could be strictly in relation to Palm's patent portfolio. Said portfolio would be very handy in fighting Apple's patent lawsuit against HTC.
3. I don't know if HTC would be interested or not in developing for another OS. They are already pretty heavy into WinMo and Android. They are also probably gearing up for WinPho 7 as well. Lenovo on the other hand could see Palm as a means to jumping into the mobile market.
4. The fact that Palm has a plan to reach profitability does not mean that they can't be exploring a sale. The plan has to be there both for helping make a sale and for when there isn't a sale.
